Harbour receives nine exploration licences in Norway

Harbour Energy has been awarded nine exploration licences in the APA (Awards in Predefined Areas) 2025 licensing round in Norway. Harbour is the operator of four.

The licences are all close to infrastructure where Harbour already has a stake allowing for rapid potential development of discoveries.

Roy Davies, Harbour Norway’s Vice President for Exploration and Subsurface, said:

These awards support our strategy of exploring in areas close to existing infrastructure where we have a good understanding of the subsurface and a high potential to quickly and profitably develop discoveries into producing fields.

Two of the licences are in the North Sea close to the Gjøa and Snorre production facilities. The remaining seven licences are in the Norwegian Sea, within the vicinity of the Skarv, Njord and Maria fields.
