Harbour Energy is the largest partner of Pemex in the Zama project, the operator of Block 30 (Kan discovery and development project), the operator of the Ogarrio onshore field with Pemex as partner, with interests in the producing Hokchi offshore field, the Polok offshore development project and Block 4 (Naajal discovery).

Harbour’s material 2C resource base of >400 mmboe in Mexico’s offshore conventional oil fields provides the company with significant 2P reserves replacement options.

At Zama, FEED on the approved development concept was completed early 2025. The Zama partners are now in discussions with Pemex to optimise the development concepts and accelerate first oil. Approval of the Zama development could result in the equivalent of over a year’s worth of Group production moving from resources into reserves.

The Kan discovery appraisal campaign was successfully completed in 2025 and resulted in increased oil in place volumes of >500 mmboe. Now the project will move into the concept selection phase for its development.
