We play a vital part in producing the energy that powers the daily lives of millions of people around the world. Harbour’s diverse global footprint includes oil and gas production in Norway, the UK, Germany, Argentina, Mexico, North Africa and Southeast Asia.
As well as playing a significant role in meeting global energy demand safely, we also work hard to reduce the environmental impact of our current operations and are developing carbon storage projects that will be essential to delivering a sustainable energy transition.
Across our operations and our business, we focus on creating value for all our stakeholders. This means offering fulfilling careers to our employees and contractors, generating returns for our investors and delivering for our partners and customers – all while making a positive contribution to our local communities wherever we operate.

Safe operations
Our highest priority is ensuring our people finish every working day safely, particularly those colleagues working in hazardous field operations. Alongside the comprehensive safety rules and processes you would expect from a leading upstream producer, we strive to create a deep-rooted safety culture that everyone believes in and adheres to.

Why oil and gas remain important
Global energy demand is forecast to continue growing beyond 2050. As renewables only provide a small share of the energy we use today, we will still need safely and responsibly produced oil and gas as we transition to a lower carbon world.
In addition, crude oil remains an indispensable raw material and will continue to be used where there are no alternatives, for example for heavy transport and in the chemicals industry. Natural gas will play an essential role in the transition to a lower carbon economy, both as a direct energy source and in the production of large volumes of hydrogen in the future, helping to decarbonise heavy industry and long-haul transport.
