Rotations
Rotations
During our three-year graduate programme, graduates will rotate through various departments within their discipline, which will provide them with diverse experiences and perspectives. Additionally, these rotations enable them to develop a comprehensive understanding of different functions, fostering adaptability, collaboration and a holistic view of the business. Rotations typically range between 6 and 18 months to encourage a fulfilment of three rotations. Primary rotations are based on business need and requirements while ensuring where possible that development needs are met.
Competence skills
Competence skills
During the programme graduates will obtain sufficient practical and theoretical knowledge, skills and experience to allow them to complete the required competences. The competences are assessed by Technical Mentors and will be reviewed and discussed during the regular check-in meetings to aid in identifying future development needs.
Learning and development
Learning and development
Learning and development are vital components of a graduate programme for skill enhancement, career progression and employee engagement. Throughout the three-year programme, graduates have the exposure to development opportunities in addition to their function competency requirements, including access to various conferences, young professional events, functional skills training and an array of e-learning, and other valuable learning opportunities. Graduates also have access to the company’s Educational Assistance programme.
Charterships and accreditation
Charterships and accreditation
During the three-year graduate programme, graduates will be supported by a Technical Mentor to work towards achieving relevant discipline charterships, where applicable.
Harbour Energy currently has links to a number of Professional Development Schemes as listed below. Accreditation from other appropriate Professional Development Schemes will be sought as functions require and this list will extend as appropriate to support all Harbour Energy functions.

Summer interns will typically spend three months in one of our offices, learning the ins and outs of our operations. During this period, they will engage in a variety of tasks that are crucial to our business, gaining practical experience and insights into their chosen field. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, receive mentorship and participate in training sessions designed to enhance their skills and knowledge. This immersive experience is designed to prepare them for future career opportunities, ensuring they leave with a deeper understanding of the industry and valuable professional connections.
