Why do we have a gender pay gap?

Harbour Energy’s 2022 gender pay gap report combines data from our legacy organisations to establish a new gender pay gap baseline for Harbour Energy as a whole.

The pay gap is largely the result of the fact that Harbour operates in the upstream oil and gas sector, which has traditionally been a male industry. This is reflected in the fact that across Harbour Energy, women currently make up just over a quarter of employees, with more men than women working in offshore and specialist technical roles, which tend to attract higher levels of pay.

Harbour is committed to helping women reach senior roles across the organisation, including engineering and technology.

To find out more about the actions Harbour is taking to build a diverse and inclusive working environment where everyone is accepted and there are equal opportunities and fair pay for all employees, see our gender pay gap report for 2022.
